e5w is an exciting new development located in the heart of the East Village.  ST Howard Development is the developer of this 52,000 square foot, mixed use building.  The design of the building fuses old with new, with brick, concrete and steel exterior elements.  The architect, G.E. Wattier and Associates, wanted to design a building that includes the historical feel of the East Village but also creates an urban, modern feel.  The building will be a pre-cast concrete structure.  Floors, ceilings, and exterior walls will be concrete to give the building a modern, edgy feel.  Commercial and residential spaces can retain the modern, urban feel, or can be warmed up with hardwood floors, and soft colors.

 

There will be approximately 8,000 square feet on the first floor available for retail or restaurants.  The second floor is sized similarly to the first floor, and is dedicated to commercial office space.  Both floors can accommodate from one to four tenants.  The developer is intending to sell space on the first or second floor as commercial condominiums, but rental arrangements can be made as well. 

 

Floors three through five are residential condominiums, ranging in size from 550 square feet to nearly 1,800 square feet, with prices beginning at $129,000.  Great views of downtown or the capitol are available from every condominium.  Balconies or terraces are part of every condominium to give the owner some outdoor space without having to leave the building.  The building was designed to give you the maximum flexibility in designing your own space.  Choose your flooring, cabinets, walls colors, and more.  The fifth floor will have mezzanines with optional fireplaces, with 18 foot ceilings.  The views of downtown or the capitol will be truly outstanding.

 

The location of the building is perfect.  You are a short stroll to the new Village Market, the new small grocery store and deli that offers essentials and prepared food to take home.  Just beyond the Village Market are the other shops and restaurants in the trendy, urban, pedestrian friendly East Village.
